Guild Wars 2 world boss & event timer
Thirteen world bosses and twenty-eight expansion metas, all on fixed clocks that are the same on every copy of every map. Times below are converted to your own timezone, and the countdowns run in your browser rather than being baked into a cached page.
openorganisedA Sons of Svanir ritual in a starter zone. Kill the shaman guarding the ice, then the chieftain that steps out of it. Nothing here punishes a low level character. An asuran experiment goes wrong and a creature of molten rock climbs out of the crucible. Stay out of the fire pools and hit it. Fine for a character on their first day.Three heads across one sylvari valley, and they have to fall close together or the ones you killed come back. Follow the crowd between them.A swamp giant in the human starter zone, and the boss most new players meet first. Break the portals that keep spawning shadow minions, then burn the boss while it is stunned.A pirate admiral in her fortified camp. The event runs as an escort first, then a siege, then the fight itself, so turning up at the listed time means arriving for the beginning of the escort.A destroyer boss over a lava field. Watch for the ground turning orange and step off it; the fight is otherwise straightforward damage.A branded dragon champion that lands on a ridge in the Blazeridge Steppes. Crystals fall from above, so keep moving. One of the easiest large bosses to walk into blind.A centaur warlord who arrives with a full camp of guards. Clear the escort first, then the boss and the siege engines beside him.An enormous inquest golem in a crater. It stomps and fires beams in straight lines, both easy to sidestep once you know they are coming. An ice dragon champion in the far north, fought in two halves: an armoured phase you break with siege weapons on the ground, then the claw itself once it lands.A dragon on the Sparkfly Fen shore, and a serious fight. It needs a full map working together, turrets manned by people who know them, and enough damage inside a hard timer. Show up early or the map fills without you.Three wurm heads on three sides of the same map, which must die within moments of each other. Organised groups run it with a commander per head and voice comms.A giant karka on Southsun Cove. She burrows, calls smaller karka and takes a lot of damage, so a thin map can fail her outright.A sandstorm over Dry Top. You help the Zephyrites through it, and which champions show up depends on the favour tier reached during the previous phase. Buried chests open while it blows.Night falls on Verdant Brink. Hold the Pact rally points, upgrade them, fight off Mordrem assaults until morning and kill the bosses that only come out after dark.Mordrem are breaking into the city of Tarir and the Exalted are defending it. The chain runs as trials first, then the battle itself. The Order of Whispers wants to fire cannons into Dragon's Stand, and you keep the Legendary Chak Gerent off them. The build-up starts twenty minutes past the hour. The Pact has walked into Mordremoth's own territory and is grinding through its defences. Two hours from the first push to the dragon.Seraph forces taking Saidra's Haven back from the White Mantle, one of three fronts in the map-wide Lake Doric chain.A casino blitz around the free city of Amnoon: three rounds of minigames, then the piñata.A hunt for buried treasure across Desert Highlands, on every odd hour. The Path to Ascension at Augury Rock, which unlocks the Hall of Ascension. It ends with a fight against your own doppelganger. You help the Order of Shadows shut three portals to the realm of the Forged, at the western, northern and eastern gates around the Mouth of Torment.Serpents' Ire, out in the Branded eastern half of Vabbi.Palawadan opens just after dusk and runs half an hour. One of the best-known gold routes in the game, which is why the map fills. The Death-Branded Shatterer at Almorra's Stand. The clock is approximate: it depends on how fast the pre-events finish and can start a few minutes early.Holding Thunderhead Keep in the north-east of the map. Twenty minutes, starting just after dusk. The Metal Legion concert at the Crag. Keep the show running, enjoy it, walk away with an Iron Legion Key.A multi-stage fight against Drakkar, a champion of Jormag, around Fractured Lake.Aetherblades are raiding villages along the northern shore. A jade cannon by Daigo Ward Waypoint throws you straight to where the first events start. The city power grid is failing and thieves are making the most of it. Stabilise districts and labs, then hunt down the corruption spreading through the grid. The gang war between the Speakers and the Jade Brotherhood. The map sits quiet most of the time, until the Speakers wreck a caravan carrying jade tech. The battle for the Jade Sea, ending with Soo-Won. Events finished beforehand raise each zone's readiness, and readiness decides how many allies and resources you get in the fight.Unlocking the Wizard's Tower, out on the Skywatch Archipelago. Not a fight but an adventure: a timed skyscale run through targets in the Wizard's Tower. Dash through them or use Fireball, and refill ammo by flying through checkpoints. The defence of Amnytas.Of Mists and Monsters, on Janthir Syntri, every two hours.A Titanic Voyage, on Bava Nisos, every two hours.A world boss at Twisting Hollows on Shipwreck Strand.Secrets of the Weald, at the Cloister of Stars.Shackles of the Ancients, around the Forge and the All Seer.Where they are

Tequatl, the Triple Trouble Wurm and the Karka Queen run six times a day, want a full map working together, and can be lost outright, which is why people announce them in map chat half an hour ahead.

Each of these maps runs a loop, and the time listed is the part that pays: the Octovine, the Gerent, the push on the Blighting Towers. Everything before it is the map filling up. Ten minutes early is the difference between a full squad and standing at a closed gate watching the timer run out. Some have carried the same reputation for a decade, Palawadan for gold and Dragon's End for the fights it lost, and people still know the times by heart because the times never moved.
The bonus chest is once per account per day for each boss, so a second run on another character pays the ground chest only. Times have been stable for years; if one drifts, the game changed and this page has not. The map itself is the game’s own, drawn from ArenaNet’s tiles.
